Abstract

Celebrating the centenary of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (dependent on the National University of Rosario since 1968), two of its traditional Chairs: Normal Anatomy and Histology and Embryology, join to that secular commemoration. Centered in its chronological achievement, the present paper emphasizes the annual report made throughout decades by the last of them, recalls the evocative events during its ninetieth anniversary and summarizes the personal and management biography of three key professors for its birth and consolidation. Finally, the efforts made by their successors and a large number of collaborators for its identity maintenance is pointed out and, on the way to the bicentenary, the need of taking fruitful advantage of the received legacy is encouraged.
