HEALTHY HABITS IN HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Keywords:
healthy habits, social determinants of health, healthy universitiesAbstract
Inquiring about the lifestyle and healthy eating that the university student group has, directly and indirectly questions not only the target population, but also the entire academic community and through it, the entire society. In this way, it acquires greater relevance in the case of health sciences students, since given the social representation that professions in this field have, from the beginning of their careers they participate in the institution of models of healthy life and self-care, without matter whether or not they are aware of it, or whether it was explicitly contemplated in the curricular objectives or not.
This research explores some components of the lifestyles of health sciences students who are in the second year of medicine and other academic units at UNCo, These UNCO medicine students show interest in the quality of food and have less adherence to toxic habits compared to students from other courses at the same university.
