Abstract

Though the rivalry between the Frenchman Louis Pasteur and the German Robert Koch is well known, this paper intends to contextualize it in a warlike fact that, from the prevailing nationalisms, influenced them both. Likewise, it also pursues, by evoking the salient facts of their colossal journey, to put into evidence that, sometimes, rivalries, beyond its entailing inhibitory factors, may eventually become fruitful as in this case.
