Objective: To know the cytological findings in cervicovaginal smears from a group of women over 50 years old, tested in a private institution. Materials and Methods: "This study was carried out in the period between January 2000 and December 2018, out of a total of 283,682 cervicovaginal smears, the obtained results of the cellular samples of 78,601 women over 50 years old that were received as a first cytological study in our institution, and they were analyzed and stratified according to their age. The presence of cervical lesions was evaluated by using the Bethesda System. Results: In this study 78,601 smears of women over 50 years old were studied, where 1,132 (1.44%) different lesions were found, in women between 50 and 91 years old. 593 (52.38%) ASC-US, 26 (2.29%) ASC-H, 326 (28.79%) L-SIL, 106 (9.36%) H-SIL, 37 (3.27%) SCC, 41 (3.62%) AGC and 3 (0.26%) AdCa were diagnosed.
